Working with wood has been a life long passion of mine. As a youth, I spent much of my free time in my dad's cellar workshop dulling (sometimes breaking) his tools. Occasionally, I actually made something useful.
Later in life, after starting my own family, I renewed my interest in woodworking. I bought my first woodworking machine, a brand new Shopsmith Mark V. Five woodworking machines in one! A whole new world of woodworking opened up for me.
Nearly 3 decades later, I still have the Shopsmith by the way, many more machines and hand tools have found their way into my shop.
Along the way I became interested in sawing and drying my own lumber. So that entailed purchasing a sawmill, dry kiln, and learning a whole new trade.
After I took an early retirement from my bread and butter job, I enrolled in an art course at the local community college. Taking this course opened up an exciting new realm for me. Instead of seeing things as a craftsman, I started to see things as an Artist.
My shop is located in the scenic hills of Wyoming County, near Attica Center, New York.
Well, that's about it. Thanks for reading this far.
